Garment Care
When it comes to caring for your swimwear, proper maintenance is key to ensuring its longevity and preserving its quality. Follow these expert tips to keep your swimwear looking its best:
1. Rinse after each use
After wearing your swimwear, rinse it thoroughly with cool water to remove any chlorine, salt, or sand. This will help prevent discoloration and damage to the fabric.
2. Hand wash with mild detergent
Hand washing is the gentlest way to clean your swimwear. Use a mild detergent specifically designed for delicates or swimwear. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach, as they can weaken the fabric and cause fading.
3. Dry flat in shade
Avoid wringing or twisting your swimwear to remove excess water. Instead, gently squeeze out the water and lay it flat to dry in a shaded area. Direct sunlight can fade the colors and weaken the fabric.
4. Avoid rough surfaces
Avoid sitting or rubbing your swimwear against rough surfaces, such as concrete or rough pool edges. This can cause snags and tears in the fabric. Always use a towel or beach mat to protect your swimwear.
5. Store properly
When not in use, store your swimwear in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid folding or stacking multiple swimwear pieces on top of each other, as this can cause creases and distortion.
6. Rotate your swimwear
Swimwear is designed to stretch and recover, but wearing the same piece repeatedly can cause it to lose its shape over time. Rotate your swimwear collection to evenly distribute the wear and extend its lifespan.
By following these garment care tips, you can ensure that your swimwear stays in excellent condition, allowing you to enjoy many stylish and comfortable beach or poolside adventures.
To ensure correct treatment please refer to individual care labels on each product. We suggest a cold gentle machine wash garment separately or hand wash with cold water.
Please take care with:
- High amounts of chlorine will damage your swimwear.
- Use mild detergent.
- Do not wring, soak or bleach. Do not tumble dry.
- Drip dry in shade.
- Do not leave rolled up wet. Rinse immediately after use. Do not iron.
- Do not dry clean.
Some shades may bleed or transfer: We recommend that you do not wear your swimsuit in spa baths, as it could cause damage to your swimsuit.
Fake tanning products: will mark and damage swimwear. Infamous Swim recommends taking extra care when using these products and always ensure they are completely dry before they come in contact with your swimwear.
Sunscreen lotions and tanning oils: may mark or damage swimwear. We recommend that you rinse immediately after use.
